This plate is a true double-layer design. The 5mm acrylic base gives structural strength and a crisp background for the registration. The 7mm gel top layer sits on that base to create a bold, three-dimensional character. The gel’s gloss captures light and improves legibility, while the sturdy acrylic beneath keeps the plate rigid and long lasting.
Border — Precision Laser-Cut to Edge and Inset Detail
The border is laser cut with careful consideration for the plate’s two faces. On the white side the border runs right to the edge for a clean, finished rim. On the yellow side the border is inset slightly, creating a refined lip that adds depth without adding bulk. The contrast between edge-to-edge and inset border treatments gives the plate a bespoke, engineered look.
Shape & Size — Short 32cm, Carefully Proportioned
Designed in a short 32cm format to suit vehicles and mounting positions where space is at a premium. We always adjust the plate length to suit your registration while keeping a minimum margin of 11mm at each side. That breathing room ensures a balanced composition and keeps characters readable while preserving the short, purposeful footprint.
Road Legal & Makers Mark
This plate is road legal. You may notice the face does not show a printed BSAU or maker’s mark. Our standard is to laser engrave that information into the substrate, producing a clean, uninterrupted front while remaining fully compliant. The engraving is permanent and preserves the plate’s polished appearance.

The combination of a rigid acrylic substrate and a resilient gel surface give the plate both visual refinement and everyday durability.
